SafeShip Services offers a broad range of services promoting safety and operational efficiency, with many of our surveys for Maritime Administrations and INSB Class. SafeShip Services frequently surveys and audits systems of ships, yachts, company offices, and port facilities. Drawing upon my training and career as a merchant marine officer and knowledge of the marine surveying field will help you make the right decisions for your business based on the best technical knowledge, relevant rules, regulations, codes, and industry best practices.
SafeShip Services performs on behalf of our client’s internal audits of shipboard, office, and port facilities regarding compliance with the International Safety Management Code (SMS), International Ship and Port Facility Security Code, Maritime Transportation Security Act, and Maritime Labour Convention. Navigation audits are performed while underway. SafeShip Services can also complete company-specific audits. Carrying out internal audits of the company’s Safety Management System measures the effectiveness of their systems. It can provide an independent overview of how a ship or shipowner performs against a recognized standard. This reduces the observations, deficiencies, and non-conformities the vessel receives during an external audit and Port State Control inspections.
